On Wednesday, May 18, Historic Charleston Foundation hosted Charleston Magazine Club members and guests at the Aiken-Rhett House Museum (c. 1820) in downtown Charleston.
The private gathering and learn experience is set to the backdrop of preservation in its purest form. Preserved as found, members learned of the building’s unique historical significance as well as about the lives of the family and the enslaved who lived on this once grand urban estate.
Prepared with NOCK Tequila, throughout the event guests enjoyed a refreshing NOCK basil lemonade cocktail on the piazza accompanied by live music beautifully played on an antique harp courtesy of Kim Perkins.
Special thanks to Charleston Magazine Club sponsor, United Community Bank.
